Chef Alessandro grew up in the seaside town of Castellammare del Golfo in Sicily. His passion for food began in early childhood on his father's farm, where they picked olives for olive oil and made cheese from goat and sheep milk.
In the years to come Alessandro spent some time in Florence working as a chef then traveling to Riccione on the Adriatic coast, a popular beach town two hours east of Bologna. There Alessandro worked in a popular restaurant in Viale Ceccarini called Canasta. After developing his craft in Northern Italy, Alessandro returned to his home in Sicily where he continued to cultivate his love for culinary arts and embracing his Sicilian roots.
